About the role
Amyx is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency program in Falls Church, VA. This individual will serve as a Defense Travel Administrator (DTA), coordinating and providing advice, assistance, and guidance on a wide variety of travel-related requirements for the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the integrity of travel program requirements and conduct professional analysis of procedures, methods, and practices relative to travel program needs.
- Serve as a liaison with a dispersed customer/support base, including DOD’s Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Government Travel Card Administrators, and various civilian sector organizations.
- Monitor functional aspects of the DTS to ensure continued successful operation.
- Assist in developing help desk policies, processes, and procedures, and troubleshoot local DTS Tier II Help Desk travel problems.
- Establish and maintain organizations, groups, routing lists, and user profiles within systems.
- Maintain a database of user information and control user access to Privacy Act information and travel documents.
- Assign appropriate permission levels to personnel for their roles in the DTS hierarchy.
- Monitor the processing, reviewing, and approving of DTS travel documents.
- Prepare reports for management on transaction statuses, including delinquent travel card accounts.
- Support the Debt Management Program by monitoring debt issues and problem resolutions.
- Coordinate with Resource Management and Budget to ensure accurate line of accounting.
- Assist in managing the Government Travel Card Program, ensuring applications are processed properly and timely, and advising on issues such as misuse, credit limitations, and delinquencies.
- Develop and maintain a training database to prepare reports for management.
- Perform administrative functions related to travel requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Review and update local policy and guidance due to changes in travel regulations or personnel.
- Assist in developing command policy memorandums, recurring reports, information papers, briefings, and guidance.
- Develop, document, update, and publish local User’s manuals, SOPs, and Business Rules for Travel management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- DOD experience (desired).
- DTS experience.
- Ability to communicate accurate information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
