Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid / Onsite (varies by engagement) Employment Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire Position Overview TEKsystems is seeking Business Analysts to support a broad range of initiatives across our client portfolio. This role is responsible for partnering with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze processes, gather and document requirements, and support the successful delivery of business and technology solutions. Business Analysts at TEKsystems work closely with business leaders, technical teams, project stakeholders, and vendors to bridge the gap between business objectives and solution execution. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and skilled at translating complex business challenges into clear, actionable requirements. Areas of Business Analysis Support Business Analysts may support initiatives including, but not limited to: Business process improvement and optimization effortsEnterprise technology implementations and system enhancementsApplication development and modernization initiativesData, reporting, and analytics projectsDigital transformation and automation initiativesVendor platform implementations and integrationsOperational efficiency and workflow redesign projectsRegulatory, compliance, and governance initiativesCustomer experience and business operations programs Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis Partner with stakeholders to identify, define, and document business needs and objectivesConduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and process reviewsAnalyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvementDevelop business, functional, and system requirements documentationCreate user stories, use cases, workflows, process maps, and related artifacts Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Serve as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, vendors, and leadershipFacilitate discussions to gain alignment on requirements, priorities, and expected outcomesCommunicate project goals, requirements, risks, and impacts to stakeholdersSupport change management efforts through effective communication and stakeholder engagement Process Improvement & Solution Support Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectivenessAssist in defining future-state processes and business solutionsSupport solution design discussions by providing business context and requirements clarityHelp ensure solutions align with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations Documentation, Testing & Delivery Support Maintain accurate project and requirements documentationSupport test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activitiesAssist with issue resolution, defect tracking, and requirements traceabilityEnsure business requirements are delivered and implemented as intended Industries We Support TEKsystems Business Analysts work across a variety of industries, including but not limited to: Public Sector and EducationUtilitiesFinancial ServicesHealthcare and InsuranceTelecommunicationsCommercial and Enterprise Organizations Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related roleExperience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience working with cross-functional teams in business and technology environmentsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settingsExperience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting technology, systems, data, or process improvement initiativesFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologiesExperience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and business documentationExposure to testing, quality assurance, or user acceptance testing (UAT)Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, or business intelligence platformsCBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile, or related certification (preferred but not required) Why TEKsystems TEKsystems partners with organizations to deliver impactful solutions that improve business processes, systems, and outcomes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
