Business Analyst
Job Description
The Business Analyst at Regions serves as an intermediary between the team and the assigned line of business. They support more senior positions with advocacy for business clients throughout the solution development lifecycle, from initiation to post-implementation follow-up. Key responsibilities include:
- Advocacy for business clients in all phases of the solution development lifecycle.
- Basic to intermediate analysis, collaborating with business clients to identify core business issues and propose solutions.
- Development of a business case for action, detailing the need, method, and benefits of proposed solutions.
- Contribution to detailed requirements of the solution to meet business needs.
- Collaboration with the development team to refine solution design, methods, and outcomes.
- Maintenance of progress to ensure the emerging solution meets the requirements.
- Resolution of conflicts arising from technical deviations from agreed requirements.
- Coordination with the testing team to ensure issues are identified and resolved before rollout.
- Monitoring user adoption and making recommendations for modifications during the implementation phase.
- Ensuring compliance with risk management programs, rules, and regulations, and supporting process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or
- High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years of related experience.
Preferences
- Experience in business/system analysis.
Skills and Competencies
- Interpretation and compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
- Research, analysis, and fact derivation abilities.
- Teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
- Project management skills.
Pay and Benefits
The position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay ranges are job-specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
