We are seeking a Senior Global HR Systems Functional Lead to join our product and operations team driving a critical international HR system transformation. This contract role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with work hours from 8am to 5pm.
About the role
In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between global business stakeholders across Europe, APAC, and North America and our technical development teams. You will play a pivotal role in capturing complex business needs, harmonizing processes, and creating actionable specifications for enterprise platform implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops with global HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, and operational stakeholders across Europe, APAC, and North America.
- Translate business processes and regulatory policy variations into functional specifications, process maps, user stories, decision logs, and traceability matrices.
- Conduct country-specific gap assessments and document business process, policy, and system impacts against established Workday design standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional requirements activities across Core HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Payroll, Time/Absence, and Learning workstreams.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating delivered solutions, assisting with defect triage, and developing acceptance criteria.
- Escalate unresolved decisions, risks, assumptions, and cross-functional dependencies to program leadership to maintain project timelines.
Requirements
- 7+ years of business analysis or functional consulting experience supporting enterprise software implementations.
- Extensive experience facilitating discovery sessions and gathering requirements for global HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management systems.
- Strong track record of bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical configuration teams through high-quality documentation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills across international time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Workday HR transformation programs or implementations.
- Direct familiarity with European and APAC regional HR policies, data privacy regulations, and operational practices.
- Experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
Pay
$54.47 - 64.47 per hour.
