Business Analyst
About the Role
As a Business Analyst (internally known as Data Detective), you will partner with leadership to provide actionable insights that improve both top and bottom-line results. You will serve as a subject matter expert in data modeling, analysis, and business intelligence, driving business results, enhancing customer effectiveness, and improving operational efficiencies. This role acts as a thought partner and strategic advisor, offering insights and recommendations to support decision-making for Parts Town’s leaders.
Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to provide timely and accurate insights into the customer base to maximize growth and drive customer profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement by automating, refining, and implementing business intelligence solutions to replace manual efforts, provide faster insights, and improve efficiencies.
- Reduce time spent on data mining or validating data integrity by reviewing current solutions, identifying issues, defining requirements, and implementing analytical solutions. Document processes and ensure standardization (SOPs) across business segments.
- Analyze large and disparate data sets to make recommendations that improve profitability.
- Proactively uncover insights into Parts Town’s most influential customers and vendors, partnering with decision-makers to maximize growth.
- Innovate new self-serve reporting capabilities on key metrics using world-class business intelligence tools.
- Optimize the value proposition for customer market segments based on price elasticity, customer profile, and operational costs.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in an analytical data role or a BS/BA in business, finance, statistics, computer science, information systems, or related fields.
- 1+ years of experience leveraging business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud) to retrieve, visualize, and interpret data.
- Passion for analyzing data, identifying trends, and summarizing findings and recommendations to drive growth and strategy.
- Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills.
- Strong storytelling ability with data visualization.
- Comfortable with data modeling and analyzing large, complex data sets from disparate sources.
- Ability to multitask with strong time and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) with proven decision-making abilities.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $87,137.34 - $117,595.06 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay-for-performance company, and this role may include a profit-sharing program and an annual bonus.
