Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Hybrid Onsite, 3 days in Boston (Core days: Tues-Thurs) *Must be local to MA, RI, or NH Contract Duration: 6+ months with potential to extend if all goes well. Start: ASAP Rate: Depending on experience, $48-72/hour + W2 JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong process improvement skills to analyze business operations, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions that improve performance, productivity, and client experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders in the Operations department to optimize workflows, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze current business processes, workflows, and operational performanceIdentify process gaps, bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunitiesGather and document business requirements from stakeholdersCreate process maps, workflows, technical requirements, and business documentationConduct data analysis and generate dashboards to support decision-makingCollaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT software architects and product ownersFacilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussionsAssist in project planning, testing, and implementation activities REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field5+ years of experience in business analysis or process improvement rolesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.)Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or BPM methodologiesProficiency in Microsoft PowerAutomate, Co-Pilot Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting toolsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certificationExperience with investment management operational systemsKnowledge of SQL or data analysis toolsProject management experience is a plus
