Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, prepare, and present financial, industry, counterpart, project, and other data to support corporate objectives.
• Present data in clear, discernible formats to enable corporate decision‑making and analysis.
• Maintain and improve reporting systems, databases, and analytical tools.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Utilize business intelligence tools to collect and leverage underlying source data for corporate objectives and transactions.
• Analyze financial, project, counterpart, and industry data in support of corporate objectives.
• Support strategic planning and business‑improvement initiatives through presentations and analysis of sourced data.
• Prepare models of the financial, capital, and share impacts of proposed corporate actions and transactions.
• Prepare analyses of potential acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and other corporate activities using collected data.
• Support due‑diligence activities, project evaluations, and strategic business initiatives.
• Develop presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Assist in preparing board or committee materials for corporate objectives and transactions that require board approval.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3–4 years of business analysis, financial analysis, operational analysis, or related experience.
  • Preferred experience in mining, natural resources, or energy sectors.
  • Experience supporting operational teams and executive decision‑making.
• Key Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills combined with business acumen.
  • Ability to identify, collect, and translate data into documentation useful for corporate decision‑making.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools and data‑driven reporting.
  • Capability to design and improve reporting systems, databases, and analytical tools.
  • Experience building financial models and preparing strategic presentations.
