About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst / Project Manager, AVP to join Barclays Services Corp. in New York, NY. This role is pivotal in driving large-scale technology and infrastructure projects that support the bank’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will lead project planning, requirements analysis, and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless execution of initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and senior management, to facilitate effective communication and alignment of project goals. Your expertise in project management methodologies and business process analysis will be essential in delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a related discipline within the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certification in PMP, CBAP, or similar credentials advantageous
- Solid understanding of banking operations, technology infrastructure, and the SDLC process
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive comprehensive project plans for technology and infrastructure initiatives, utilizing established project management methodologies
- Establish project scope, define business requirements, and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure successful delivery
- Perform requirements analysis, system design, testing, and deployment activities in support of the SDLC
- Collaborate with product and development teams to implement new content and product enhancements through structured analysis, modeling, and programming languages
- Understand existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and manage the implementation of tools and processes that enable data-driven decision making
- Facilitate stakeholder consensus and ensure alignment across departments
- Gather, document, and analyze project requirements, providing actionable recommendations for content and product enhancements
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure clarity and feasibility
- Present findings, project status updates, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, fostering continuous process improvement and innovation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to infrastructure, technology, and operational processes, minimizing disruptions and optimizing performance
- Oversee the planning, initiation, and execution of banking projects, providing leadership and direction to technical teams
- Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives
- Manage project scope and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet stakeholder requirements
- Train stakeholders and team members on internal products, services, and solutions to facilitate smooth adoption and ongoing support
Pay
Salary / Rate: Minimum/yr: $126,610 per year
Salary / Rate: Maximum/yr: $130,000 per year
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to support Barclays in achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring the organization is prepared for change initiatives. This includes addressing business problems and opportunities, assessing and implementing change initiatives, and embedding them into the organization effectively.
Accountabilities
- Identify and analyze business impacts and opportunities requiring change within the organization
- Develop and implement business readiness strategies to ensure successful change management and project adoption
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to keep them informed and engaged
- Collaborate with Client Readiness, Operational Readiness, and Technology Delivery teams to prepare business units for technology rollouts, including training, communication plans, and service agreements
- Manage resistance to change by engaging stakeholders and addressing concerns proactively
- Review business readiness plans and status reports, ensuring timely completion of activities and addressing risks, issues, and dependencies
- Align change initiatives with project objectives and integrate change management activities into project plans
- Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful change implementation
