BUSINESS ANALYST

About the role

FCG is a product-based technology consulting company serving top North American clients and providing innovative technology solutions in the domains of utility, gas pipeline, roadways, and permitting systems. We are a team of more than 50 software professionals and researchers who specialize in Cloud Computing, DevOps, GIS, Big Data, and Analytics. Due to COVID-19, we currently operate in a work-from-home model from our high-end infrastructure unit in Bhopal, India.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager to define needs and apply or customize existing technology to meet those needs
• Engage in GIS product development
• Collaborate in a global virtual team across North America and India, sometimes spanning multiple time zones
• Handle multiple roles or projects simultaneously
• Conduct R&D related to development work
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written English communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, or Geoinformatics with strong academic performance
• 6–7 years of experience as a Senior GIS Developer
• Experience developing websites and custom web mapping applications using .NET and ESRI ArcGIS
• Proficiency in Arc Objects, ArcGIS Server-side programming, and ArcGIS JavaScript API
• Strong background in Microsoft .NET technologies, including ASP.NET and ADO.NET
• Fluency in C#, VB.Net, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML, and Google Maps API
• Experience with web mapping application development using AGOL (ArcGIS Online), Web AppBuilder, custom web app templates, and custom widgets
• Expertise with ArcGIS Silverlight API, JavaScript API, and ArcGIS Python scripting
• Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 and Oracle 11g/12C, including schema design, complex SQL, stored procedures, and views
• Experience working with ArcSDE geodatabase platform
• Familiarity with Telerik’s R.A.D. Editor for website development is a plus
• Some experience with front-end UI design
• Ability to write Oracle geospatial SQL procedures to find intersections between layers and generate new geospatial data points using only SQL
• Deep understanding of Oracle SDO_GEOMETRY and related data types
• Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Server published map services, ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, queries, joins, and map file configuration
