Key Responsibilities
- Report Quality: Review data artifacts to ensure that data transformations are accurate and reporting correctly communicates the metrics in question.
- Scale Reporting Infrastructure: Build out tooling to scale and automate client reporting, while ensuring data is trustworthy.
- Support Contribution: Support contribution to team's github code repositories with strong Python and SQL skills, with a willingness to learn additional tools like dbt.
- Data Storytelling: Create high-impact visualizations and business cases that demonstrate the ROI of AI integration to our B2B clients.
- Stakeholder Synthesis: Translate complex model behaviors (e.g., propensity to close, intervention scoring) into actionable insights for claims adjusters and executive leadership through in depth analytics.
- Requirement Architecture: Collaborate with senior DS&I team members to define "Success Events" for new AI features, ensuring that technical builds align with the Behavioral North Star of the product.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within Disability Insurance, FinTech, or a SaaS company leveraging Machine Learning.
- Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, script development), SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) to perform independent "deep dives" into claim performance data.
- Strategic Communication: Proven ability to explain the "Why" behind an AI recommendation to non-technical users.
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with claims management workflows, "duration compression" concepts, and the regulatory landscape of disability insurance is preferred.
