Business Analyst

About the role

The CS Business Analyst will maintain relationships with end users for small to medium scale projects, elicit requirements/user stories, and represent them throughout the systems development cycle. They will also lead requirements elicitation and documentation for small to medium-sized projects and work as part of a business analysis team on larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Plan & Define activities as part of the Requirements Development process for small to medium size projects
• Develops business process models and business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional)
• Partners with the business community to develop comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans and ensure the application is successfully transitioned to production
• Investigates business issues and data challenges
• Serves as the requirements liaison across project stakeholders
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in an applicable business environment
• 3+ years' experience in a BA role

Qualifications

• Working technical knowledge and understanding of business analyst fundamentals
• Working technical knowledge of writing and leading Business Requirements Documents
• Working technical knowledge of business process modeling; knowledge in business/functional domain
• Understanding of business issues and data challenges of the assigned business area
• Understanding of business processes and how applications support the process
• Demonstrate critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capability
• Ability to facilitate sessions with project stakeholders, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and creating process flow diagrams
