Business Analyst

This internship sits within a global materials science and technology company's corporate strategy and innovation function. You'd support competitive intelligence work that touches business development, manufacturing and engineering operations, and product innovation, working alongside a small analytics and automation-focused team.

What You'll Do

• Analyze and articulate core business problems and opportunities using data-driven methods
• Build data collection processes and apply statistical models to generate insights
• Assess the potential impact of different strategic options using predictive analysis
• Present findings and recommendations using dashboards and clear action plans
• Track outcomes of implemented strategies using automated reporting
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and generate insights
• Identify repetitive tasks and build automation solutions to improve efficiency
• Support automated data validation to keep analysis accurate and consistent
• Share real-time reporting and insights across cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with innovation teams on market opportunity forecasting and competitor assessments

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree
• Experience analyzing data using statistical or programming-based tools
• Comfortable working independently within a large, global organization
• Available 16 to 24 hours per week on a remote schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings clearly

Preferred Experience

• Python, R, SQL, or Power BI
• Automation tools such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate
• Prior coursework or experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or business strategy

Schedule

16 to 24 hours per week, flexible remote schedule
