About the role
In this role, you will be accountable for maintaining the relationship with the end user for small to medium scale projects. You are responsible for eliciting requirements/user stories and representing them throughout the systems development cycle. The CS Business Analyst will lead requirements elicitation and documentation for a small to medium sized project and work as part of a business analysis team on larger projects under the supervision of more senior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates Plan & Define activities as part of the Requirements Development process for small to medium size projects.
- Development of business process models and business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional).
- Partners with the business community to develop comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans and ensuring the application is successfully transitioned to production.
- Investigates business issues and data challenges.
- Serves as the requirements liaison across project stakeholders.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in an applicable business environment.
- 3+ years' experience in a BA role.
Skills
- Working technical knowledge and understanding of business analyst fundamentals.
- Working technical knowledge of writing and leading Business Requirements Documents.
- Working technical knowledge of business process modeling; knowledge in business/functional domain.
- Understanding of business issues and data challenges of the assigned business area.
- Understanding of business processes and how applications support the process.
- Demonstrate critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capability.
- Ability to facilitate sessions with project stakeholders, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and creating process flow diagrams.
