Business Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site) | Contract through June with annual extension options

Responsibilities

• Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.
• Develop documentation (e.g., diagrams, flow charts, requirements documents).
• Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist project managers in all phases of projects.
• Develop test cases and test plans, and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements as assigned by the Department.
• Facilitate UAT with the business program staff as assigned by the Department.
• Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (e.g., scheduling meetings, documenting decisions, identifying issues and action items).
• Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements as assigned by the Department.
• Follow Department IT processes and coordinate with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards.
• Correspond (verbally and in writing) with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status.
• Actively participate in project status meetings as assigned by the Department.
• Coordinate efforts with the Department Contract Manager to achieve cost savings under this SOW, including identifying common system errors that can be resolved to reduce costs for the State of Florida.

Requirements

• Five years of experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and documentation.
• Five years of experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Five years of experience with meeting facilitation and documentation.
• Four years of experience implementing, integrating with, or maintaining MicroPact's Versa Online and/or Versa Regulation products.
• Five years of experience creating and presenting internal and external status reports suitable for management.
• Five years of experience leading meetings and determining work tasks.
• Six years of experience delivering projects on schedule, to technical specifications, and within approved budgets.
