Business Analyst

Duration: FTE. Location: PA-Philadelphia, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing, invoicing, discounting, credit, refund, and revenue processes across business products
• Translate finance and accounting needs into business requirements, user stories, and process flows
• Understand end-to-end processes from order through billing, revenue recognition, and GL impacts
• Assess impacts to financial reporting, reconciliations, and controls
• Lead requirements sessions with Finance, Billing Operations, Revenue Operations, and Accounting stakeholders
• Document current and future-state processes
• Serve as Business Owner during solution design and backlog grooming, including user story acceptance
• Develop functional requirements, process documentation, and end-user support materials
• Define success criteria, KPIs, and reporting requirements for initiatives
• Establish metrics and dashboards to measure business outcomes, adoption, billing accuracy, and operational performance
• Monitor KPI performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
• Track initiative results against business objectives and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
• Independently lead assigned workstreams and drive decisions with minimal direction
• Proactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Communicate effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, Finance Analyst, or Billing Analyst
• Strong background in finance or billing — this is more important than telecom experience
• Hands-on experience with billing system enhancements
• Hands-on experience with revenue operations
• Hands-on experience with accounting/journal entries
