Business Analyst

About the Role

Coordinate with inside and outside sales personnel to collect data and evaluate progress of machine, kits, parts, and service sales. Analyze and report internal and external data for strategic and performance insights. Evaluate and report market data trends and leading indicators. Provide professional presentations of results both orally and in writing. Works within, and strives to improve, Belvac’s documented Quality Management System (ISO) as it pertains to the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and provide information necessary for weekly/monthly sales and marketing reports, including financial updates.
• Attend weekly scheduling meetings to communicate and review scheduled ship dates, customer request dates, and workload volume.
• Collect and organize market statistical data related to the industry sector.
• Evaluate, advise, and update sales and bookings forecasts regularly.
• Create monthly and weekly sales and marketing reports; update weekly manufacturing schedule reports.
• Work closely with Finance on Sales activity reports.
• Provide Month-End Close & Reports and Month-End Sales Attainment (Flash).
• Monitor machine, kits, and parts pricing; recommend changes as appropriate.
• Track and report Bookings and Sales by Geography.
• Assist with special projects as requested.
• Provide Machine Commission Reports.
• Analyze and issue reports on quotation activity for monthly and weekly reports.
• Analyze quotation log, investigate and correct omissions and errors.
• Analyze new and revised equipment quotes by region, kits & conversion quotes by region, and details of new equipment and spare parts quotes.
• Monitor and report market trends in trade literature.
• Gather information on competitors.
• Provide Industry, Market, Competitor, and Company data in support of Strategic Plan preparation.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree in a technical or business discipline (or equivalent business experience with a degree in another field).
• Five years or more of manufacturing industry experience.
• Excellent customer service, analysis, communication, business writing, and administrative skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

$72,500 - $80,000 annually. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria. Pay is determined by job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including responsibilities, work experience, education/training, location, and key skills.
