Business Operations Specialist Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Specialist to support strategic business initiatives through data analysis, process improvement, supplier capacity planning, and executive reporting. This role serves as a key partner to procurement, supply chain, and operations teams by transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and passionate about identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Analyze supplier capacity, performance, and risk data to identify trends and support business decisions.Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to track operational performance and capacity initiatives.Create executive-ready presentations and leadership summaries highlighting risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators.Support category management teams with capacity planning initiatives and strategic projects.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Business teams.Track and report progress on capacity-related programs and improvement initiatives.Review business processes and recommend enhancements based on data-driven insights.Monitor budgets, expenditures, and project metrics while identifying potential risks and corrective actions.Support documentation, reporting, and project management activities as needed. What You'll Do A Typical Week May Include Analyzing large datasets and supplier performance metrics.Identifying capacity constraints and developing recommendations.Building reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives.Presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.Driving continuous improvement projects and tracking results. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree welcomed.10+ years of relevant professional experience, or 5+ years with a Master's degree.Experience in business operations, procurement, supply chain, purchasing, analytics, or related fields.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience creating reports, dashboards, and metrics for business stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mossville, IL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
