About the role

The Business Analyst role offers an opportunity for a data-driven professional to transform payroll and workforce data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. This position involves analyzing large, complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, cost drivers, and compliance risks. The role emphasizes developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations tailored to stakeholder needs, as well as building predictive models to forecast workforce and payroll trends. Based in Reading, PA, this hybrid role provides a dynamic environment for leveraging data analytics to drive organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets related to payroll and workforce management to identify trends, anomalies, cost drivers, and compliance risks.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations tailored to the needs of various stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and build predictive models to forecast workforce and payroll trends.
  • Extract, cleanse, and validate data from enterprise systems, ensuring data quality and governance standards are maintained.
  • Create automated data pipelines and reporting solutions using SQL, Python, and R to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
  • Develop reusable data assets and scalable analytics solutions for ongoing analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Continuously improve data processes, automation, and visualization techniques to support strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in creating dashboards for diverse stakeholders and analyzing large datasets.
  • Proven expertise in building predictive models and performing exploratory data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory; strong skills in Python or R for data analysis and model development.
  • Experience in creating Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of data management best practices, data visualization techniques, and automation processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
