Business Analyst

Responsibilities
- Serve as a dedicated team member who has primary responsibility to support the development team to successfully achieve their daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives.
- Elicit, document, communicate, and prioritize business requirements from clients while applying, implementing, and enforcing Scrum principles and practices.
- Support and facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance of the team and assist with continuously improving agile practices.
- Formation and definition of project activities and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
- Develops understanding of business needs of multiple stakeholders and/or product owner through a variety of elicitation techniques.
- Facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst stakeholders, product owner, and project manager.
- Helps business stakeholders envision how their processes will change with implementation of solutions.
- Builds requirements to accurately and thoroughly capture business needs and ensures user stories are concise and complete.
- Builds and updates system requirements specification documents or other requirements related artifacts.
- Able to interact with technical staff and work collaboratively to define technical solutions to solve business needs.
- Able to perform responsibilities utilizing agile software development methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field.
- Experience in developing requirements.
- Experience writing technical documents.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks.
- Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.
- Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization.
- Agile process life cycle.
- Strong written and communication skills required.
- Must have Agile experience; methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
- Experience with User Interface designs and mockups.
- Prior experience with building solutions using Microsoft Power Apps or Dynamics, Power Platform, and Power BI is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with Government clients is highly desirable.
- Able to perform responsibilities utilizing agile software development methodologies.
