About the Role

Business Analysts are responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. They leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. This role involves building deep contextual and domain knowledge, ensuring data quality, and developing scalable tools. The ideal candidate will have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, a passion for delivering business insights, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data management processes such as accessing raw data feeds, organizing data, and designing reports that present status-at-a-glance visualization for business performance.
  • Retrieve and analyze large sets of data using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Take ownership of reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and a high degree of customer focus in resolving data discrepancies.
  • Build and manage related key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, control, and benchmark reporting processes.
  • Monitor existent metrics, build new metrics, and partner with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of existent program implementation.
  • Perform complex analysis to address process issues and innovate to improve customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • 2+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience with SQL.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location:

  • USA, TN, Nashville: $66,900.00 - $117,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin: $74,300.00 - $130,100.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $130,100.00 USD annually

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. The package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
