Business Analyst / Accountant

We are looking for a versatile Business Analyst / Accountant to join a growing l business in South Carolina in a contract to hire capacity. This position combines hands-on accounting ownership with analytical support, helping maintain reliable financial records while translating operational and revenue data into practical business insight. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in an evolving environment, improving visibility into performance, and contributing to decisions that support continued expansion. Responsibilities:• Oversee core accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process.• Record and monitor income and ensure intercompany financial activity is tracked accurately and resolved in a timely manner.• Maintain detailed fixed asset documentation, manage depreciation schedules, and support allocations related to property taxes and asset ownership.• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial statements, supporting schedules, and documentation needed for leadership review • Monitor utilization trends, revenue contribution, and other operational measures tied to profitability.• Build and refine KPI reporting, dashboards, and management reports that highlight efficiency, margins, and partner or location performance.• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and pricing analysis by turning financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.• Partner with leadership to provide business analysis that supports strategic planning, growth initiatives, and ongoing process improvement. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with additional exposure to business analysis or financial reporting.• Strong working knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.• Experience supporting KPI reporting and using data to evaluate operational or financial performance.• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with accounting or ERP platforms; experience with business intelligence tools is an advantage.• Strong attention to detail, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced business environment.
