Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with legislative stakeholders.
- Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Document business requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and development teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood.
- Maintain project documentation and process diagrams.
- Support project planning and delivery activities in partnership with Product Managers.
- Aid in backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint readiness.
- Track dependencies, risks, and milestones as needed.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Help ensure alignment between scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Assist in planning and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate delivered functionality against documented requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to gather feedback and document enhancement requests.
- Support release readiness activities and user validation efforts.
- Train legislative end users through virtual and on-site sessions.
- Develop and maintain user-facing documentation and training materials.
- Serve as a calm, reliable point of contact during legislative session activities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with stakeholders and build consensus.
- Experience creating user stories, process flows, and business documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Familiarity with Agile project environments.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, or similar collaboration tools.
Qualifications
- Experience working with government, legislative, or public sector organizations.
- Experience supporting software implementation projects.
- Exposure to change management, training, or business process improvement initiatives.
- Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder meetings.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
