About the role

This position involves working as a bus tire technician at a customer location designated tire shop. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the tires are DOT compliant on city buses used for Work, Pleasure, and Play. You will collaborate with assigned administrators and customer staff, maintain customer tire inventory, monitor tire maintenance through periodic inspections, and perform various tire-related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure tires are reliable and safe for city buses
  • Document work performed with assigned administrators and customer staff
  • Maintain customer tire inventory from cradle to grave using best practices
  • Periodically inspect tires using specialized software and devices
  • Repair and balance tires according to industry standards
  • Perform tire and wheel assembly changes, regrooving, and inflation maintenance
  • Maintain shop safety and cleanliness

Requirements

High School or GED preferred. Previous commercial tire experience is considered a plus. Must be able to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting. Must adhere to all safety procedures and work in a safe manner. Mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills are essential. Self-starter and willing to take initiative required.

Qualifications

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship is required.

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $27, but the actual pay may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Schedule
