Bus Sys Analyst Specialist

We are hiring a Business Systems Analyst Specialist to serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across claims, finance, data governance, and other enterprise business priorities.

About the role

You will partner with leaders across the organization to understand business objectives, facilitate discovery sessions, define project scope, document requirements, identify current-state gaps, and translate business needs into actionable requirements. Working with multiple projects simultaneously, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders, managers, and executives to drive project intake, analysis, approvals, and successful project planning through the project lifecycle.

This is a remote, work-from-home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues for a specific business group.
• Direct business process improvement projects for internal business groups to improve business results.
• Identify and document all system constraints, implications, and consequences of various proposed system changes.
• Assess the impact of change, define business rules, and implement solutions across a broad range of functional boundaries.
• Work at the highest technical level of systems analysis while considering the business implications of technology.
• Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring requirement statements are complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, and verifiable.
• Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure project results fully satisfy the needs embodied in the requirements.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in requirements gathering, documentation, and translation.
• May serve as project lead, business systems analyst lead, or technical lead for small to medium efforts or manage phases of medium to large efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of experience leading requirements development efforts.
• 1 year of extensive systems analysis, design, and project management experience.
• 3 years of experience in Information Technology and systems analysis.
• Healthcare industry background (preferred).
• Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective requirements gathering sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to connect business needs with technology solutions.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, technical environments, and system integrations (preferred).

Skills

• Knowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
• Ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into meaningful information for project teams and business personnel.
