About the role

This Opportunity WSP is excited to be offering a position with our National Bus Rapid Transit Team, which specializes in the planning and design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects locally and across the nation. Collaborate with and become among the nation’s best in the delivery and management of Bus Rapid Transit projects, helping create solutions that meet our clients’ objectives and solve their challenges. Become immediately involved on some of the biggest and most exciting BRT projects currently underway in our nation’s biggest transit project markets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical support and Project Management on projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
  • Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
  • Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
  • Manage technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline (roadway, site design, traffic engineer).
  • P.E. License with 7 to 15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
  • Experience working with transit agencies and department of transportations.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
