Education/Training/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent (preferred). Bilingual/Spanish (preferred). English fluency will be determined through the application and interview process.
Licenses Or Certifications: Valid Colorado Driver's License. Current First Aid and CPR (or obtained within the first six months of employment).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and support to students during arrival and dismissal, including safely escorting students to and from buses and designated areas.
- Aid students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those who may require physical assistance or specialized support.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus and at loading/unloading zones to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment.
- Implement behavior support strategies as directed and promptly report concerns to appropriate staff.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, families, bus drivers, and school staff to promote clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Address minor concerns early and communicate patterns of behavior or safety issues to administrators as needed.
- Support the implementation of student-specific plans, including IEPs, behavior plans, or medical accommodations, while maintaining confidentiality of student information.
- Follow district policies and procedures related to student supervision, safety protocols, and emergency response.
- Aid in emergency drills and respond appropriately in crisis situations.
- Maintain accurate records or documentation as required, including incident reports or communication logs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested to support safe and efficient student transportation operations.

Essential Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting ten (10) to twenty (20) pounds.
- Occasional lifting of up to one hundred-fifty (150) pounds.
- Frequent sitting, bending, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
Work Environment
Mostly clean and comfortable. Frequently encounter noise, odors and bodily fluids.

Starting hourly rate is between $19.09 - $21.59 per hour based upon education and prior related experience.
Additional Information
New hires or rehires will be responsible for the fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
