Bus Mechanic II - 250 Day

About the role

This position performs state mandated work on school buses and vehicles. It inspects, diagnoses mechanical problems, performs mechanical work and performs major repair and maintenance functions on school buses and fleet vehicles. This position performs work under the general supervision of the Vehicle Services Shop Crew Chief, Coordinator or Supervisor of Vehicle Services.

• Performs major repair and maintenance functions on school buses and fleet vehicles

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
• Attention to detail
