About the role

Mountain Mobility is seeking dependable, safety-focused Bus Drivers to provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers throughout the community. This position operates 15- to 16-passenger transit vans rather than full-size buses. Because these vehicles require a Class C CDL with a Passenger (P) endorsement, the starting pay is $18.73 per hour. As a Mountain Mobility Bus Driver, you will play an important role in helping passengers reach their destinations safely and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, patient, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Class C CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement.
  • Must maintain a safe and acceptable driving record.
  • Must meet applicable DOT and company driver qualification requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background check.
  • Must successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must successfully complete any required DOT physical/medical examination.
  • Must be able to meet applicable federal, state, and company transportation safety requirements.
  • Must demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Must be able to provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Must be comfortable working with passengers of different ages and abilities.
  • Must be able to safely assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when required.
  • Must be able to follow assigned routes, schedules, procedures, and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate Mountain Mobility 15- to 16-passenger transit vans.
  • Transport passengers safely and courteously to scheduled destinations.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
  • Provide professional and respectful customer service.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding passenger needs, delays, route changes, and service issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Complete required trip and passenger documentation.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Represent Mountain Mobility in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bus driver, paratransit driver, shuttle driver, van driver, transit operator, or commercial driver.
  • Previous transportation experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.

Pay

Starting pay of $18.73 per hour.
