Bus Driver Childcare Center

About the role

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Lake Orion is looking for a caring and responsible Bus Driver to safely transport children in grades K–5 to and from their local elementary school. This is a great opportunity for a retired bus driver who wants to keep busy and earn a little extra money. The position is regular, part‑time.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–9:30 am and 2:45 pm–4:30 pm

Pay

Starting at $18 per hour

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from school and activities
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Ensure children are properly secured and follow safety procedures
• Maintain route and transportation records
• Communicate professionally with families and teaching staff
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid chauffeur’s license (higher compensation for CDL holders)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Experience transporting children preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong reliability and communication skills
• Passion for supporting young children and families
• Punctual, organized, with a positive attitude
