Bus Driver

Job Description

KIPP Jacksonville seeks school bus drivers to transport children to and from school each day on established routes.

Job Responsibilities

• C Conduct Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspections to Ensure Safe Operation
• D Drive a School Bus Route - Picking up and Dropping Off Student Passengers at Established Stops on Route
• C Conduct Post-Trip Vehicle Inspections to Ensure All Passengers Have Left the Bus
• A Attend and Participate in Monthly Safety Meetings to Learn and Assist Others in Achieving the Highest Professional Driving Skill Level and Student Management
• Clean Bus as Necessary to Maintain Professional Appearance and Positive School Image
• As Requested or Desired Take Field Trip Runs to Transport Student and Other Passengers to and From Their Destinations
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Clear alignment with KIPP Jacksonville’s mission
• CDL Class A or B with P and S endorsement license
• Minimum of one year of bus driving experience (highly preferred)
