Bus Driver

Position Summary

Provide bus transportation to colleagues, non-colleagues, faculty, students, patients and visitors on and off campus. Also provide a safe culture on the bus and obey all traffic rules on and off campus. Perform vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of the bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging passenger counts, and assisting disabled passengers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timeliness of the routes and flexibility of shuttle schedule.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist colleagues, visitors, patients, students, and faculty by answering any questions they may have, and offer campus directions for all that may ask.
• If necessary, direct the inquirer to Parking Leadership.
• Communicate any issues on campus, such as, suspicious persons, parking machine issues, or any regulatory needs.
• Absorb and assist handicapped individuals by using the lift, or assistance into the vehicles.
• Absorb and assist all regional campuses including LUMC, MacNeal, and Gottlieb.
• Absorb and assist colleagues, visitors, patients, and faculty with any parking needs.

Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma
• Preferred: CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement
• Related Experience: Minimum: 1-2 years or related experience
• PREFERRED: 3-5 years of related experience

Pay

Pay Range: $15.40 - $19.28 per hour

Schedule

Shift: 5:30pm - 2:00pm Monday - Friday
