Bus Driver

About the role

Lehigh University seeks a dedicated Bus Driver to join their Transportation Services department. In this full-time, nonexempt position, you'll play an essential role in safely transporting passengers across campus and to various destinations while maintaining their commitment to reliable, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate university buses and vans on designated routes
• Transport passengers to local and distant destinations following scheduled timetables
• Maintain professional customer service standards with all passengers
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and university transportation policies
• Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and vehicle maintenance needs

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• To three years of experience
• Experience driving passenger buses
• CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement is required
• Excellent driving record

Pay

This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $27,890-$33,480 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Special Considerations

• This position has off during May, June, July and the beginning of August.
• The normal shift is 1 pm - 9 pm but may change based on the needs of the department.
• Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position.
