Bus Assistant - South Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities

• Aid students in entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Show highest ethical standards and personal integrity; report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervisor or manager.
• Secure students using seat belts, car seats, or wheelchair restraints as needed.
• Maintain vigilance over passengers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and student conduct rules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; 19 years old for New York School Bus Assistants.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements.
• Must successfully complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings.
• Must have a keen attention to detail and dexterity to handle various restraints and equipment.
• Must be able to relate well to and work effectively with children.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy, and strong communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and assist students as necessary.
