Responsibilities
- Aid students in entering or exiting the bus safely.
- Show highest ethical standards and personal integrity; report suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervisor or manager.
- Secure students using seat belts, car seats, or wheelchair restraints as needed.
- Monitor passengers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and student conduct rules.
- Report any violations or concerns to appropriate authorities.
- Assist in vehicle evacuation during emergencies.
- Ensure students take their belongings when leaving the bus.
- Help Driver keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
- Complete required paperwork and submit on time.
- Behave professionally and promote company goodwill.
- Be punctual and perform duties safely.
- Attend all assigned training, safety meetings, and in-service meetings.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old (19 in New York).
- Meet physical and medical requirements.
- Pass all training and safety meetings to remain qualified.
- Have a high attention to detail and dexterity.
- Work well with children and maintain effective pupil behavior management.
- Show professionalism and diplomacy when interacting with students, colleagues, parents, and school personnel.
- Communicate effectively and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to lift and assist students as necessary.
