Key Responsibilities
- Aid the school bus driver during operation and in emergencies
- Ensure special education students are safely loaded and unloaded from buses
- Instruct students about bus rules and regulations
- Maintain safety and welfare of students on and around the buses
- Report observations and incidents to appropriate personnel
- Secure students with safety equipment
- Assist bus drivers with post-trip checks and route destinations
- Complete required paperwork and attend meetings
- Support other personnel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Experience working with children (e.g., daycare, school, or special education settings)
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid (training provided)

- Meets time schedules
- Works in various weather conditions

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work primarily inside a moving school bus
- Handle students with seating, safety, and behavior management
- Work in all weather conditions
- Move up and down the bus aisle frequently
- Support students with mobility challenges (up to 50 lbs)
