Burmese Interpreter- Dallas, TX

About the role

Language Services Associates is looking for Burmese interpreters in the specified area. As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Follow all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices
• Comply with clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Ensure access to personal or public transportation

Requirements

• Full fluency in both English and Burmese
• The ability to provide a high level of client service
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
