Bun Line Chop Saw Operator (Operator B)

About the role

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift Bun Line Chop Saw Operator at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the operation of numerous types of equipment used in the manufacture of foam products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager/Supervisor, and all department personnel to ensure needs of internal and external customers are met through the manufacture of polyurethane foam products using a chop saw to produce finished products
• Assist with inventory, as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required
• Good communication and advanced math skills
• Must be forklift certified or have experience with sit-down forklifts
• Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with little notice
• Must be able to lift master roll up onto the cutting table up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision

Qualifications

• Experience operating a saw cutting machine is preferred

Pay & Schedule

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00pm – 4:30am (3rd shift)
• Hourly rate: $22.02 – $22.75
