About the role

The Shipping and Receiving Operator is responsible for a variety of shipping tasks including small package shipping, picking orders, shipping orders, forklift operation, filling work orders, handling bulk lubricants. The operator maintains accurate inventory through the use of the warehouse management system.

Responsibilities

  • Operating mechanical pumps in warehouse as well as hydraulic pumps on tanker trucks.
  • Operating and driving six different bulk trucks on site.
  • Handling multiple hoses/connections to load and offload product by the gallon.
  • Operating in-house pumps to fill totes, drums and pails for work orders.
  • Following bulk standards and processes to ensure Safety, Quality, Service and Productivity.
  • Sustaining the condition of hoses, connections and pumps.
  • Using forklift and/or pallet jacks to accurately pick orders and loading freight regularly.
  • Receiving of vendor receipts and transfers.
  • Inspecting materials for nonconformities, following non-conforming process if necessary.
  • Uses the warehouse management system – utilizes scanners to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Wrap pallets securely for shipment.
  • Pack cartons correctly and stack cartons on pallets.
  • Transfer bulk products into drums, totes and pails.
  • Follows work instructions according to company policies and procedures.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive relations with team members.
  • Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of truck tractor or forklift several times throughout the day.
  • Able to lift 50lbs periodically.
  • Must be able to perform basic math skills.
  • High Level of flexibility.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical skills.
  • One or more years in a warehouse setting preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System or ERP system preferred.

Pay

The anticipated hiring range for the role is between $20 and $25 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

  • Experience and qualifications.
  • Educational and certifications.
  • Market and industry benchmarks.
  • Internal equity.

Schedule

Hourly, Full time (Second Shift), Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm.
