Bulk Manager

Overview

The Bulk Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods featured at Sprouts. This role involves managing a team, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan and ensure proper packaging and scaling of bulk items.
• Fulfill orders and maintain inventory, rotating products using code dates, and adhering to the company's cleaning and sanitation program.
• Oversee compliance with all company and governmental safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL compliance regulations.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Ensure bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and the Bulk area is clean and orderly at all times.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
• Evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions, and make recommendations for merit increases.
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns and take and document corrective actions when needed.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store or act as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of weekly ad items and ability to direct customers to product locations within the store.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving vertically/horizontally transferring product weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 36”, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Continuous standing for up to 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $29.15 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
