About the role

Join our winning team at Sprouts Farmers Market as a Bulk Manager and oversee a prominent department visited by hundreds of customers each week. This role focuses on delivering an extraordinary customer service experience while managing the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods in a friendly and fast-growing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods, ensuring adherence to the merchandising Bulk plan.
• Ensure team members properly package, scale, fill, prepare, wrap, and price bulk items accurately and legibly.
• Order and maintain inventory, rotate product using code dates, and follow the company’s cleaning and sanitation program.
• Oversee department compliance with all company and governmental safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL regulations.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and the area remains clean and orderly.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions, including recommendations for merit increases via bi-annual performance reviews.
• Regularly attend and participate in in-store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Exercise independent judgment to address team member concerns, document corrective actions, and collaborate with HR on performance management, including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination.
• Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1–2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of weekly ad items and ability to direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
• General housekeeping responsibilities within the department.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Ability to move product weighing up to 50 lbs. vertically/horizontally from 4” to 36” for distances up to 4 feet, for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Continuous standing for up to 4 hours, totaling 8 hours per shift.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.90 - $26.70 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
