Bulk Cement Truck Driver (CDL)

About the role

The Bulk Cement Truck Driver (CDL) will drive assigned equipment to and from customer sites, rig up iron to equipment and oilfield rigs, and handle loading, unloading, and transporting cargo in compliance with company Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and federal/state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive Cement Bulk trucks (Dry powder, 2 bulk pods) with a Class A CDL, including manual shifting, to oilfield rig locations.
• Rig up bulk truck to cement pump, including iron and hoses to rigs and tanks.
• Pump cement downhole, then rig down iron and trucks before driving back to the yard.
• Wash and load trucks (average driving time: 1.5 hours per day).
• Support in-shop work, maintenance, deliveries, and other duties as required.
• Travel to North Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado; availability for nights and weekends is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Valid, active state-issued Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL); endorsements a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of Class A CDL experience with manual shifting.
• Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance for diesel engines and component repair.
• Understanding and compliance with all applicable DOT rules and regulations, including state and interstate highway laws.
• Mobility to use ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, and walk.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Capability to work in all weather conditions while adhering to safety standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; English preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic writing, math, and computer skills.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule, shifts, and travel as required by the job.
• Reliable cell phone and transportation.
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment testing, as well as a DOT-compliant post-offer physical and job-relevant screens.
