Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist - Hopkinsville, Madisonville & Princeton, KY

About the role

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist provides critical support to the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy within a flexible, 24/7 operation. This role serves as vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, may be the first point of contact for late PM/early AM weekend route coverage, and acts as liaison between customers, merchandisers, and drivers regarding order refusals and inventory overload. The Specialist executes weekend operational plans with minimal supervision and keeps the DSM apprised as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelf according to procedures and special programs
• Provide vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser
• Manage, sell, and execute in assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes; generate sales orders based on assigned delivery frequency for each customer
• Execute applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores
• Organize and maintain back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor; arrange return of empty pallets and shells, damaged and out-of-date product to the branch
• Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on display and shelves where permitted; rotate product; fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; check vendor to ensure proper operation
• Foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities discussion
• Identify and communicate any competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business (e.g., pricing, new packaging, change in business strategy)
• Execute all job duties in a safe working manner
• May serve as first call point for late PM/early AM weekends ensuring proper route coverage, and acting as liaison between customer, merchandiser and driver for order refusals and inventory overload

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge acquired through 0–1 years of work experience
• Valid Driver's License
