Buildings Architecture Intern

About the Role

Work alongside and be mentored by experienced and licensed architectural professionals in the design, construction, and project management of facilities in both the public and private building sectors. Gain experience in collaborating with building-related engineers and specification development staff, and exposure to sustainable design, construction practices, and project construction administration.

• Develop various project documents including floor plans, elevations, technical building components, presentation drawings, and 3-dimensional renderings.
• Gain exposure to project construction administration such as project progress meetings, Requests for Information, and project observation and documentation.

Requirements

• Must have one to two years remaining on your architecture degree from an NAAB accredited program by Spring prior to the internship term.
• Strong desire to pursue a career in Architecture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
