Architecture Intern
About the role
We’re looking for an Architecture Intern to join our Architecture team this upcoming summer. As an Intern, you will assist with the design, evaluation, and implementation of new buildings and building alterations, primarily for municipal and industrial clients, most frequently for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform design calculations, sketches, and technical comparisons.
- Review and edit project specifications.
- Prepare and edit designs and drawings recommended by the Senior Architect.
- Prepare portions of project documents.
- Research code and regulatory requirements.
- Research design options, component specifications, and document findings for the Senior Architect and Job Manager.
- Respond to contractor questions and prepare alternate designs as needed under the guidance of the Senior Architect.
- Perform analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities.
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Revit.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp.
Schedule
Hybrid work model: three days per week in the office, with flexibility for remote work.
