About the role

Lead maintenance and technical services of all factory areas, buildings, and utility equipment in accordance with safety and environmental requirements to ensure availability of all necessary resources for production and other equipment. Ensure that safety guidelines are met and potential risks are eliminated. Provide status reports, handle any changes to maintenance plans, building capability, onboard and train employees according to JTI standards.

Responsibilities

  • CapEx Projects Support: Support safe, effective, and timely implementation of capital investment projects at the factory (support Engineering Manager with installations, conversions, filter making, B&U, power, and automation equipment). Perform control of contractors during installation/construction stage.
  • KPIs Responsibility:
    • Plan and control the Maintenance budget for the engineering department, including monthly and yearly budget preparation for maintenance and energy.
    • Report the budget to the engineering department manager.
    • Participate in the ASP process.
    • Be accountable for energy consumption for facilities and initiate necessary actions for achievement of set KPIs.
    • Create purchase orders in SAP for Maintenance and control payments for suppliers.
  • Production Process Responsibility:
    • Support all facility maintenance corrective and preventative activities ensuring that all building and utilities equipment (including Electrical systems, lighting, grounding, HVAC, fans, AC units, air compressors, boilers, pumps, filters, heat exchangers, etc.) and engineering systems meet present and future needs in terms of efficiency, machine utilization, and capacity utilization.
    • Ensure reliable electrical supply, provide production and transportation of necessary energy resources (compressed air, gas, conditioned air) for production, warehouses, and administration areas.
    • Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies, and ISO requirements and procedures.
    • Design, implement, and maintain effective applicable Maintenance systems and processes to improve productivity, efficiency, energy consumption, and reduce cost.
    • Cooperate with responsible functions and provide managerial support to the engineering department during collaboration with Procurement, Financial, HR, EHS, Quality, Production, and MS departments.
  • IWS (Integrated Work Systems):
    • Develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and capability.
    • Act as Cell Lead for Building and Utilities.
    • Be responsible for the following DMS (Daily Management Systems): CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate), IE (Incident Elimination), DH (Defect Handling), 90-day plan, DDS (Daily Direction Setting).
    • Attend DDS (Daily Direction Setting) Meetings and spread IWS DDS structure according to the deployment plan.
    • Coordinate all technical activities with Environment Health & Safety guidelines and ensure 5S3R standards.
    • Coordinate implementation of technical activities within Utilities in line with directions from superiors.
    • Participate in the LE pillar/assigned SWP and complete all actions required from the PDCA cycles.
    • Follow the qualification process for the Cell Lead skills role.
  • Talent Management Responsibility:
    • Manage direct reports including tasking, training needs, job description preparation, motivation, and control.
    • Ensure availability of licenses and certificates required by local legislation for direct reports for safe operation on hazardous equipment.
  • Financial Responsibility:
    • Perform necessary actions to establish assets and spare parts management in SAP, ordering process, and write-off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in a managerial position, with experience in maintenance management in industrial factories, including good knowledge and experience with machinery, building and utilities standards, and EHS.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).

Skills

  • Good basic understanding of the core business.
  • Good leadership skills, self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Above-average communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, open-minded.
  • Above-average Mechanical/Electrical Engineering skills.
