Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily operation of facility services and systems for two sites in Ashland VA.
- Performs both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on a variety of facility systems, and of varying conditions.
- Responds to calls to snake out drains or clear obstructions.
- Inspects and repairs as needed all restroom and associated fixtures.
- Responds to emergencies and schedules preventive maintenance.
- Oversee all dock and loading equipment systems.
- Reviews logs to ensure proper operation of equipment; reports any problems/malfunctions on an as needed basis.
- Prioritize all PM's, corrective and emergency work orders for the site (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily).
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Must arrive on site within 2 hours for emergency service response.
- Provide excellent customer service by utilizing professional and effective communication with timely follow through.
- Team player, self-starter, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS (Maximo or Corrigo), etc.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
- Lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
- Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
- Working from heights; climbing a ladder, up to 30 ft., with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
- Work from elevated heights.
