About the role

The Global Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is seeking an ELM (Early Life-cycle Manager) specialised in strengthening our Base Building Qualification processes. The Base Building ELM Project Manager supports the construction phases, building equipment installation, working with data to find root causes and generate improvements on further launches and retrofits across Europe. This role includes a travel requirement both domestic and internationally up to 40% of the time.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and secure completion of Installation and Operational Qualification (IOQ) assessments—timed to system readiness and commissioning timelines—including quality inspections and performance testing for base building equipment
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of base building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire suppression, BMS controls, and emergency power) to evaluate design specifications, troubleshoot commissioning issues, and provide subject matter expertise during qualification assessments
  • Shadow and coach auditors during IOQ assessments to optimize checklist execution, process flow, and resource allocation
  • Drive checklist revision and historical analysis of qualification audits, aligning with subject matter experts to improve specifications and standards
  • Lead RME integration of top post-launch issues into building template specifications and checklist updates
  • Own a portfolio of dynamic Business Units, defining RME deliverable strategy and reporting progress through KPI-based analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally with Global Real Estate, Design & Construction, and Launch Execution teams on budget requests, specification changes, and qualification coordination
  • Integrate RME deliverables into General Contractor agreements; develop SOPs and templates to guide other departments
  • Design handover processes between teams, defining system readiness thresholds, success criteria, and vendor scorecards
  • Calculate cost avoidance by influencing lifecycle decisions at design and construction stages, demonstrating ROI on maintenance impacts
  • Champion continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
