Building Systems Operator - Level 4 (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

Responsibilities
- Comply with all key work processes required by the company and documents any deficiencies while overseeing customer systems to ensure no impact to their daily operations.
- Participate in job-specific training, presentations, modules, and qualification tests required to perform work and qualify for job rotations.
- Perform various switching/isolation procedures to mitigate operational issues or prepare systems for maintenance activities.
- Identify, document, and monitor key operating parameters; ensure data and forms are filed, retained, and distributed as required by plant practices.
- Maintain thorough handovers among operators; identify and track efficiency data associated with key operational activities; submit improvement ideas and support their adoption and implementation.
- Provide timely assistance to other plant operators and/or O&M personnel when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating area.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Carry out assignments as directed; tasks range from monitoring control systems status to being part of maintenance switching events for major equipment shutdowns.
- Work effectively with multi-cultural personnel to execute work assignments.
- Attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety, & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in positions supporting plant operations or facilities maintenance; having plant operating experience in a data processing facility is preferred.
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to work around commercial power & cooling systems; this should include knowledge of electrical systems such as panelboards, switchboards, generators, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, etc.; mechanical systems such as commercial closed-loop chilled water systems, pumps, boilers, air-handling units, fan coil units, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of plant operations including aspects of planning, training, scheduling, safe work practices and incident free operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
- Able to perform standard maintenance/inspection tasks on equipment such as Fan Coil Units (FCU), Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHU), and Air Handler Units (AHU).
- Experience in a related field such as Electrical, Mechanical (HVAC), Plumbing, or finish carpentry with preference of experience with large commercial-grade systems.
- Demonstrated experience writing and executing specialized Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) to ensure zero downtime during live maintenance.

Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
