Building Systems & Low Voltage Mobile Service Technician

About the role

tdgFacilities is seeking a full-time Building Systems & Low Voltage Mobile Service Technician in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. Our teams are dedicated to supporting the needs of our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Work across various building systems including low-voltage wiring, access control systems, security devices, intercoms, building automation, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and install low-voltage cabling, security systems, and building automation components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections, and replace or upgrade equipment as needed.
• Document work performed, equipment information, deficiencies, and recommended repairs.
• Collaborate with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility technicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in low-voltage systems, security/access control, CCTV/surveillance systems, building automation, and commercial electrical work.
• Comfortable using meters and diagnostic tools, understanding basic electrical and low-voltage principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently in commercial facilities.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Manufacturer-specific certifications or training in access control, security, building automation, networking, or controls are a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with low-voltage, security, controls, electrical, or commercial maintenance systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment documentation, and basic schematics.
• Comfortable working independently in commercial facilities.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Schedule

Typically, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (with occasional on-call responsibilities shared within a team rotation).

Pay

$24 to $29 per hour.
