What Is Needed For This Job
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience a plus, but not required.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Authoritative verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
- Ability to monitor the property and access areas quickly.
- Ability to deescalate inappropriate or threatening situations.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
The Responsibilities We Will Trust You With
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for members and team members of GPY.
- Maintains an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to branch leadership and maintains a log of this activity.
- Deescalates inappropriate or threatening situations.
- Maintains surveillance cameras throughout the facility.
- Conducts building walkthroughs with attention to detail to ensure a safe environment inside and outside of the Branch.
- Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
- Checks to ensure the property is secure, updates activity log, and ensures that key information is passed along to branch leadership.
- Addresses reports of suspicious activity on the property.
- Prepares for threats and emergencies with a plan of action.
- Escorts unwelcome parties off the premises.
- Works collaboratively with GPY staff and members to support a positive member experience.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
